Dominic Armendariz Obituary, Death – 21-Year-Old Pecos, Texas, Native Remembered for His Love of Family and Sports
Dominic Armendariz, 21, of Pecos, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, in Pecos. His death has left his family, friends and former teammates mourning the loss of a young man whose life was closely connected to his family and his passion for sports.
Born on August 26, 2005, in Odessa, Texas, Dominic was the son of Manuel and Roxann Armendariz. He grew up in Pecos, attended local schools and graduated from Pecos High School, where he participated in football, basketball and baseball.
Athletics played an important role in Dominic’s life, giving him opportunities to develop friendships, share memorable experiences and connect with teammates through the sports he enjoyed. Those who knew him will remember the time he spent with family and friends and the memories created throughout his young life.
Although Dominic’s life ended far too soon, the relationships he built and the moments he shared with those closest to him will remain an important part of his legacy. His passing has brought profound sadness to his loved ones, who will continue to carry his memory with them.
Dominic was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Margarito Armendariz and Mario Flores, and his cousin, Esmeralda Montaño.
He is survived by his parents, Manuel and Roxann Armendariz; his brothers, Miguel Heidi Soto, Damian Dasani Armendariz, Ramon Armendariz and Manuel Armendariz Jr.; and his sisters, Yaritza Miguel Saenz and Yarali Armendariz. His surviving family also includes his maternal grandparents, Luis and Rachel Rodriguez, and his paternal grandmother, Maria Elena Flores.
Dominic leaves behind six nieces, six nephews, numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends who will continue to cherish his memory.
The family has expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to fundraising efforts and offered prayers, generosity, kindness and support during this difficult time. The assistance and compassion shown by the community have provided comfort to the family as they navigate their loss.
Dominic Armendariz Funeral and Memorial Services
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Pecos Funeral Home in Pecos, Texas. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
The Funeral Mass is scheduled for Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church in Pecos. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Those serving as pallbearers are Damian Armendariz, Jeremiah Tarin, Zack Tarin, Samuel Tarin, Josh Torres, Kodi Anchondo, John Lares and Xavier Bustamantes.
Honorary pallbearers are Miguel Soto, Chewy Vallejos, Miguel Saenz, Jv Rodriguez, Ethan Orona, Iran Espudo, Ramon Venegas, Federico Urias and Danny Salcido.
Dominic Armendariz will be remembered by his family and friends for the life he shared with them, his involvement in sports and the connections he formed throughout his years in Pecos. Though his life was brief, the memories he leaves behind will continue to hold a special place in the hearts of those who loved him.
